How to Make a Prom Wrist Corsage

Flowers for Prom - Prom wrist corsages

Prom wrist corsages are easy and fun to make. And you can really let your creativity flow!

You will need

* Greenery (for example, leather leaf)
* Filler flowers (for example, baby's breath)
* Focal flowers (for example, roses, daisies, orchids)
* A prom wrist corsage band (scroll down on the linked page to see examples of beaded corsage bands - you can also get these at craft stores, usually in the wedding section)
* Floral glue (you can get this online or at a florist's)
* Ribbon

1. First, prepare your flowers and leaves. Cut the stems about 6" long, on an angle. Put the flowers in a vase of warm water and put them in the fridge to harden off (this makes them last longer.

2. Now make a corsage bow as shown in the video below. Then glue it to the wristlet (if there is a round plastic disk, glue it to that), or tie it securely to the wristlet (you can use narrow ribbon if desired).

3. Last, simply glue your flowers and greenery to the wristlet, using the video below as a general guide. You will need to trim the flowers and greenery as needed. Also, please note that you don't need all of the additions shown in the video - it is simply a matter of taste as to what materials you use. (You can use a glue pot like the one shown in the video, but regular floral glue will also work fine. Just be careful when you're using it, as it's easy to smear.)

Use your creativity and have fun making your prom wrist corsage!
